Q. Who is the Mail Daemon and why is he sending me e-mail?
A. The Mail Daemon is a program used to detect e-mail problems and it provides error messages in the form of e-mail to the sender with information regarding an error with recent e-mail message that you sent.

If a message is not addressed correctly, or the destination computer is down, the message will be returned to you by the Mail Daemon. The first lines in the header of the message will tell you why the message failed. It might tell you that the user is unknown, the server name is not recognized, or that the message is too large to be accepted by the remote site. Correct the problem (if it is a problem with your message), and re-send the message.
