Q. What are the minimum system requirements needed to connect to the Internet?
A. IBM-compatibles
  • Windows 3.1 or Windows 95 (Strongly recommend Windows 95)
  • 486 or higher processor
  • At least 10 MB of free hard drive space
  • At least 8 MB of RAM (16 MB strongly recommended)
  • 14.4k bps modem (56K bps modem strongly recommended)

Macintosh

  • 68030 processor or higher
  • System 7.5 (System 7.6 strongly recommended)
  • At least 10 MB of free hard drive space
  • At least 8 MB of RAM (16 MB strongly recommended)
  • 14.4k bps modem (28.8k bps modem strongly recommended)

NOTE: Verify that you have TCP/IP or MacTCP
1) Go to the Apple pulldown menu.
2) Scroll down to Control Panels and click.
3) Scroll down & you will see either MacTCP or TCP/IP.
MacTCP = Classic Networking
TCP/IP = Open Transport
